Carole Meyrick

Managing Partner

Born in London I spent my first 18 years in France before moving back to the UK with my family. I went to secretarial college to fulfil my ambition of becoming a secretary and progressed to working as a PA for company directors, including the Chairman of a Merchant Bank in the City of London.  I became the Admin/Personnel Manager for Cuprinol before taking a career break and going to Pershore College of Horticulture to study Commercial Crop Management.  I worked in horticulture for three years before moving to Wales where I have been for the last 27 years!  I have run my own Virtual Assistant business for 16 of those 27 years and am now Managing Partner at Catch Your Calls.

What rocks my boat: Good manners.  Laughing till I cry.  Not enough of the former these days, and my husband is a constant source of the latter.

Favourite film: A difficult choice between Some Like it Hot (Jack Lemmon, Tony Curtis and Marilyn Monroe) and Young Frankenstein (Marty Feldman and Gene Wilder).  Jack Lemmon’s comment about Marilyn Monroe’s wiggle being like “jello on springs” probably tips the balance, but only slightly.

Favourite book: Steven King’s The Stand.

Not many people know this about me: In the middle of the night I once held a cow down on her side so that the vet could deliver her calf by caesarean section after she got into difficulties.  It was a boy.  Yes, I watched the whole procedure and no, I wasn’t sick!
